Research Subcommittee

Purpose

The Research Subcommittee shall advance the mission and initiatives of the AFESA by creating a series of collaborative and productive environments where high-quality research, analytical best practices, and advocacy converge to solve common problems, evaluate technical solutions, and shape the future of data analysis in the fire service in accordance with the AFESA’s bylaws. The subcommittee plays a key role in influencing the analytical tools and data culture that support the profession by serving as a subject matter resource during software and application design and development and as a hub of expertise on emerging trends, dataset design, and applied research. Through strategic partnerships and innovation, the subcommittee supports a research ecosystem that strengthens and elevates the role of analytics in the fire service.  AFESA’s Research Subcommittee is appointed by the Governance Committee.
